Singapore Eating, Day 2
Breakfast at the Malay market:
^ Dosa (fermented Indian pancake, this version’s stuffed with a potato curry).
^ Roti paratha.
^ Egg paratha.
^ Apong (a Nonya-style pancakewith coconut and coloured sugar.
^ Rose drink! (the pink one) I’ve missed you.. even if I can only ever manage several sips.
^ Nasi padang.
^ Fresh market.
^ Fresh tumeric.
^ Fishies.

Singapore Eating, Day 1
It was a rough start to the eating process, with my flight rendering me and my appetite a little worse for wear.. but after a shower, power nap and a little walkabout the Joo Chiat area, I was all ready for a good feastin’!

Stilton-stuffed, Parma ham-wrapped chicken breast
^ .. on a bed of tenderstem broccoli with buttery Charlotte potatoes.
Seared with a sprig of thyme for a minute on each side and then baked for 15-ish minutes.
Tasty, but next time I think I’ll flatten out the chicken breast so that I can encase the Cropwell Bishop better — too much ooze.

Dinner: Butter bean soup with savoy cabbage
^ … and lil toast soldiers! Got this recipe from January’s Waitrose Kitchen, but had a can of butter beans kicking around in the kitchen so we just used that instead of the prescribed borlotti beans.

One weekend. So many sausages. And much mulled wine.
